Biography

Dr. Mohan is board certified in orthopaedic spinal surgery. He is trained in and has performed all aspects of orthopaedic spinal surgery, from minimally invasive surgery to the treatment of complex deformities and metastatic tumors in adults and children. His medical interests include cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery. He takes a conservative and multi-modal approach in addressing each patient's spinal conditions. Dr. Mohan strives to educate his patients on their conditions and involves them throughout the decision making process. In addition to treating adult spinal disorders, Dr. Mohan's practice encompasses spinal conditions in children, with special interest in spinal deformity and complex reconstruction in all age groups. Dr. Mohan is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery. He completed his Orthopaedic Spine Surgery fellowship at the University of California Davis and the Shriner's Hospital for Children of Northern California. Dr. Mohan received a broad exposure to spinal surgery, from minimally invasive spinal fusion surgery to complex anterior and posterior spinal fusions for spinal deformities. He also had the opportunity of treating children with complex congenital, neuromuscular and idiopathic deformities at the Shriner's Hospital. Dr. Mohan is a member of the AO Spine Society, the North American Spine Society, and the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
